Tuitui

Tuitui Bistro is a carefully conceived hospitality fitout within the Auckland Museum South Atrium.

The fitout is designed to have minimum impact on the Heritage listed museum building.

Tuitui provides hospitality for the museums visitors at all times of day. The space has a unique character in that it is a gently curving corridor shape.

We wanted to celebrate the original building. Forms and details used are reinterpretations of details within the original building, such as the fluted doric columns at the museum entrance which inform the wall panelling and also the sequence of curved bays below the crescent shaped central counter.
